Jenny Pemberton - Bio

This summer will be my 20th year at ASAS (is that right? I don't feel old enough!) I began as a volunteer then became a leader,  and have spent some time in all 3 groups,  but mostly 8-12 and 13+, as well as most of the residentials, which I love.

In my main and full time job,  I'm the Clinical Lead for Speech Therapy, at Hollybank Trust,  working with children and adults with complex needs.

I would usually be working across school and residential homes delivering therapy and training for communication and eating and drinking difficulties on a regular basis.

At the moment I'm doing some work from home,  some support in residential care homes within the trust and some more urgent eating and drinking assessments, focusing on keeping our lovely residents safe and healthy. My team have also started a remote video Makaton sing and sign session,  in place of our usual group,  which is great fun.

I'm not one for sitting still for long,  so am keeping up with various hobbies, DIY, practicing musical instruments, cooking (and eating!!) But looking forward to going back to orchestra, guides, ASAS!
