Community Paediatricians
The community paediatricians are part of the Integrated Children’s Additional Needs (ICAN) Service.
Referrals may be accepted from health professionals for children who meet the following criteria:
Suspected Cow's Milk Protein Intolerance (CMPI)
Feeding difficulties including drooling
Failure to thrive in children under 5 years of age
Chronic Constipation (where initial treatment with laxatives has been unsuccessful)
Any developmental concerns (speech, co-ordination, school problems)
Tiptoeing
Concerns regarding jerky movements
Any growth concerns
Children Looked After Health Needs Assessments
